The responsibility of intellectuals is simple. Most people don't really understand it while others do. The intellectuals today in our world or that we may know of might be MLK and other people that stand up for what they felt was right. Intellectuals are the peope that the government don't want to see. Because they feel that intellectuals tell and spread lies on them. My take on the intellectuals is if wondering if they take on social stability, or if they're the reason that everything starts. I belive that maybe in one life I could be one. Let the world know the truth about the history that they've been taught. Change the face of intellectuals, and maybe give them a good name in the media.
1. Being well educated doesn't determine anything it takes you to determine whether you're educated because education is taught different all around the world. And education has been like that for decades, nothing has ever changed. 2. is being well if you can determined by what you know the knowledge that you have learned or sitting in the class learning new things that will probably forget at your graduation. Because a person can come to school and know everything but does that make a person well educated or does it not because there's still more that I'm sure that person has to learn. 3. No one in the world can come up to you and tell you that there are more educated than you are because teaching is different everywhere around the world not everyone has the same criteria to learn from. It's impossible to argue if someone is educated enough or not. Like in Los Angeles learning is definitely different from London so who knows who's truly educated. 4. Education is different every where. We can't let test scores define us, and let them tell us everything we know. If you want to those people that remember ice bags and things that you've learned does that mean that you're well educated because you have a good memory. In example how much do you need to know about science to be a pharmacist, not a lot. But that's what we're conditioned to think and to know. 5. There should be no one that gets to decide if we're smart enough to get a good job, or smart enough to get a good career. The fact that we have to take a standardized test to detrmine where we stand on the education line. Now students are getting test that are about the same to everything that they know, so it won't be so hard on them. 6. Instead of teachers and students being asked what It means to be well educated we should look at the schools and see how we should be educated, and what we should know. Low quality teaching can be lead to low standard test because most teachers believe in that theory. The legalization of marijuana will not only bring an economic boost to the state its self also to the United States economy. It will also reduce the cost of drug enforcement. Marijuana should be removed from the criminal justice system and regulated in a manner similar to alcohol and tobacco. There are five jurisdictions in the Unites State that have rejected the failed prohibition of marijuana and changed their laws to legalize small amount of marijuana: Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Washington, D.C. Four states will license and regulate production and sale of marijuana. Studies have been shown that in Colorado that crime rate went down and the state's economy went up. After 6 months the legalization of weed in Colorado in 2014. In March of that year alone, taxed and legal recreational marijuana sales generated nearly $19 million, up from $14 million in February. The state has garnered more than $10 million in taxes from retail sales in the first four months - money that will go to public schools and infrastructure, as well as for youth educational campaigns about substance use. According to his latest budget proposal , Gov. John Hickenlooper expects a healthy $1 billion in marijuana sales over the next fiscal year. That's nearly $134 million in tax revenue. Sales from recreational shops are expected to hit $600 million, which is a more than 50% increase over what was originally expected. Another reason that marijuana should be legalized is because if you guys didn't know it's been helping people with cancer for over 100 years also is helping people with glaucoma and other diseases that people don't know how to handle without using marijuana. Have you ever heard of a death because of marijuana? No, that's because marijuana cannot kill you ,and only help you though it may slow your brain cells down it does not harm your body and any type of way and no scientist still has come up with the conclusion that it could harm you in the long run. Also the government doesn't know that prohibiting drugs make people want to do it more and it makes people hide and want to come out about it because they know they can't do it, more people are trying to because they know it's illegal. You can also say the government a lot of money when it comes to taxes the government would no longer have to text the people and can take Texas from marijuana because there be money that the marijuana industry will be consuming that can go to the government. Instead of chasing the people that are doing the drugs which is making the government less money by imprisonment. We can use that those people in those drugs to make the government more money instead of making the jail incarceration level rise because of the war on drugs. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with marijuana you hear more good things about marijuana then you hear bad things about it, and the people that say bad things are the ones that haven't tried it. So no one should have a right to say anything. Marijuana should be legal all around the world is not harming anyone it can only help you and it's better for the people to just have it instead of hiding it from the government because it's illegal.
